Picturehouse Concept & Strategy
Objective: to provide a global marketing platform to promote the work of specialist and pre-eminent photographers and to create a social community for discerning picture buying professionals.
Philosophy: quality not quantity, best of breed, crème de la crème and less is more.
Marketing: we regularly promote picturehouse to 1000’s of Art Buyers, Art Directors, Designers, Photo Editors and TV Producers worldwide showcasing both the website and our contributors, so come on in and get involved. Register here
Technology: We are looking to include a social network, intuitive search and behavioral analytics. Initially hi-res downloads will come from partner’s sites, eventually we would hope to have a secure central data store from which to fulfill all transactions.
Pricing: our prime purpose is to secure realistic high value sales for rights managed usage. We want to integrate PLUS Registry features within the pricing structure.
Partners: we have 18 founding photographers who are featured on the home page. The intention is to create specialist content hubs for such genres as; sport, wildlife, travel, news, etc.
Curating: to maintain the highest possible standards of image quality we will adopt a rigorous editing policy. Within all subject areas we will appoint key individuals who will be responsible for this role. We shall also encourage picture buyers to identify their favourite images and photographers.
Global development: initially this will be a UK centric operation selling worldwide. However we would imagine that ‘hubs’ would develop representing other major countries.
